Did you know on average it takes 40 goes to take the perfect selfie? Okay, we made that up, but it’s probably not far from the truth.
Be honest – how often has the quest for the perfect selfie made you late leaving the house? Why is it you can look 10/10 in the mirror and then you open that front camera and BAM
We know, life/front cameras are so unfair. Why does this never happen to the Kardashians? WELL, that might just be because their selfie-taking skills are ON POINT (we suspect they might be born with this), but yours can be too!
In honour of National Selfie Day (that’s today FYI) we’ve put together some tips on how to take the perfect selfie, read on to learn how…
You’ve probably heard this before but lighting is KEY. The best time to take a selfie is in the ‘golden hour’ before sunset to give you that flattering gold à la Beyoncé glow.
Avoid them! Shadows across your face will ruin that golden glow you’ve worked so hard to create!
As any self-respecting Kardashian/Jenner knows, it’s all about chin down, camera up. It’s our go-to angle to flatter like a pro!
We’re not actually talking about your brow pencil tekkers here, but rather what you do with your brows when you’re taking your selfie. Our top tip: raise them slightly to make your eyes look bigger.
We’re definitely #teamsmile over duck face when it comes to selfies. And if you’re going to smile, think of something that makes you genuinely happy, like Ryan Gosling taking his shirt off.
