I have just used the Control Sleek hair cream for the first time. I would suffer badly from frizzy hair when I get hot or its humid. I have tried lots of products to date, of all price ranges, but none of them really did anything. So far after using this, my has stayed, shiny, soft and smooth. I have to admit the jury is out on the smell, not sure. But it really works! I have very thick, medium textured hair, slightly kinky hair. I just had to dry my hair and didn't have to use irons on it. WONDERFUL PRODUCT, BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!!!

I found this product easy to apply, but would say less is definitely more, as it was quite heavy, so the first time I used it, I used too much which left my hair a bit greasy. _x000D_
After that though, I used this daily and it not only de-frizzed my hair and gave it a bit of body (which is much needed for my fine flyaway hair!)_x000D_
I really liked the smell of the product, though it does have a distinct fragrance, so may not be for everyone. _x000D_
I found it would last me all day at work in terms of smooth hair, but not into the evening.

I have really frizzy hair which is very frustrating. I was excited to try this product as I was hoping it would save me money and time. I followed the steps and initially, my straightened hair looked quite good. I was not a fan of the smell though!!! I felt the need to put on perfume throughout the day to mask the smell of my hair. I work in an open plan office with good ventilation yet by the end of my 7 hrs, my hair was reverting back to its frizzy ways. I ran my straightener through my hair again that afternoon but by bedtime, my scalp seemed greasy which it normally doesn't get like until end of day 3.

I found this works well for the first few washes and leaves my hair pretty silky after straightening, however, it does leave my hair feeling like I've got product left in, even though I've been using roughly a 2 pence coin amount. I do like the citrus scents, they blend nicely with the nutty/vanilla-y base notes. It would probably be better suited to someone with normal to thick hair rather than fine.

The only downside is that I really dislike the smell and it puts me off using it

It made my hair appear smoother and helped a lot with fly always. I also really like the smell. I feel really put together after using this.

This smoothing cream is for hard to manage frizzy hair, so my unruly locks definitely fit the bill for this. It sounded too good to be true. A cream that controls frizz when heat-activated, doesn't need to be used after each wash and becomes more effective the more you heat hair by blow drying or straightening. Well it isn't as it works! My hair is sleeker than ever before! I'm not a fan of the smell (I think this may be the combination of the lemon with the grapefruit) but I don't care as it is really effective. I use a pea-sized amount on the ends of towel-dried hair and it sinks in nicely. My only gripe is that it kind of encourages you to apply heat on hair but doesn't mention about whether the cream provides heat protection, with it containing both marula and moringa oil however, I do feel better about it not damaging hair and the results are so GLORYus - straighter, sleeker hair that certainly looks healthy! Thanks S&G! I will be stocking up and recommending!

I'm not someone who regularly straightens their hair so I may not be the best person to review this, but I didn't find this to achieve what it promised. _x000D_
You have to thoroughly straighten your hair to 'activate' this, and then reactivate with heat every time you wash it. My hair was smooth but it's hard to tell if this is the straightening or the product. The smoothness also didn't last after washing. On the plus side it smells great!_x000D_
If you straighten your hair regularly, you might find this good but I didn't feel it was worth the damage of repeated straightening.

I brought this from my local boots about 3 days ago. I was looking for a smoothing cream when I saw this and I thought I would give it ago. My hair is thick and wavy and normally blow it straight but its ends up a bit frizzy. After I tried this my hair is smoother and more softer than it normally is. I hope my hair gets better as I keep using this. The only con of this product is the smell. Please Soap and glory do something about the smell or it would have been 5 stars from me.

This is great for my dry, frizzy, thick unmanageable hair. I admit i did not following the instructions to the letter, I gave my hair a quick blast with the hairdryer and used large barrel curling tongues to style the next day - it looked like normal. The real test was going out in the damp air which normally destroys my style and produces frizz - no so after using this! 5 washes since using it and it's still good. My daughter has also used it and is also impressed

I was sooo sceptical about this product as so many top brands claim their product reduces frizz etc. I've gone through so many products it's unbelievable. When I was in a boots store and saw this product and since it was £5 introductory offer I didn't mind giving it a test as I really need help for my frizz. I washed my hair as usual and towel dried it. Since my hair is thick and curly I applied a good amount to cover my hair and my bangs. Once I had it blow dried I straightened my bangs. Usually within an hour my fringe puffs and it looks awful but I was impressed how throughout the whole day it looked so shiny and frizz free. My hair looked shiny and I'm very impressed. Those with thick curly hair, at last something that actually works!!

Hopefully this will be improved so the entire range will be awesome

As with most Soap and Glory products, this has a really strong smell which is still there the next day after applying. The instructions tell you to repeatedly straighten sections of your hair, but my hair will always been smooth and sleek after doing that. Other than the smell I don’t think this product made any noticeable difference.

This product definitely helps my hair to become sleeker and smoother. My hair is very frizzy and it has really improved but I don't like the smell at all. I was hoping it would smell like the serum which I love, but unfortunately not. I found I had to spray more serum on after using this as well as before because it weighed my hair down and I needed to dampen it again.

My hair is frizzy in the lengths but not at the roots, so this actually made my hair flatter than ever, but it was smooth and sleek. I think it adds too much weight rather than just smoothing and de frizzing. It’s got the nice soap and glory fragrance but also a strange underlying smell that I assume is heat activation component, but this does fade once you’ve applied heat. I think this is probably more for people with curls or mega frizz issues!

I dont really see this can last for 8 washes as I feel my hair still needs something after I have washed it otherwise its still a bit frizzy. Also it doesn't smell in the slightest bit nice in fact it stinks. It smells strongly of chemicals and I wont be using it again because it really puts me off.

I think this is supposed to replicate that other well known product in the silver container that is very expensive I have tried this and it makes my hair even more frizzy! Well this is brilliant, it made my hair soft, managable and almost shiny. In fact it doesn't even look like my own hair. Easy to use, just like a cream, spread it on your hair, my advice is not to use too much as it could make your hair lank. But love it and will buy this forever I think, as made such a difference to my hair!

Firstly, I would check you like this particular smell before you buy this. I personally didn't enjoy the smell and it does hang around on your hair all day! Secondly, if you follow the instructions on this, there's a lot you have to do - blow drying then straightening each section multiple times...if you do that already then this product may be great for you, but that would not be my normal hair care routine and I just don't have the time to do that regularly. I did half my hair with the smoothing cream, and half without, just to see if you could notice any change. It maybe feels slightly smoother, but doesn't look much different or less fly-away than normal. I won't be buying again.

I like the fact it is not tested on animals. The fact that you need to blow dry your hair after using this product and also straighten is not so good. You are technically damaging your hair, and using this product to make it smooth again? If you are blow drying your hair and straightening anyway, that's fine. It has a nice smell but don't use too much on fine hair.

After the 1st wash my hair was noticeably more manageable and straight, it wasn't 100% straight and frizz free but I was so happy with this, means I can get away with not straightening my hair every day and means I'm ready in half the time.
