First, may we say that we are always flattered when we receive interest from a potential distributor or retail partner, as it makes us suppose – accurately or not – that we must be doing something right to lasso all these accolades.
If you’re logging in from the UK, the bad news is that while we’d love to sling Soap & Glory stuff from every possible suds-friendly shelf, we’re currently otherwise engaged (in an exclusive business kind of way) to Boots The Chemists.
We’re also the-better-part-of-spoken-for in Thailand and negotiating with a few other distributor ‘desirables’ in what we see as our next few key countries for expanding our brand.
At present, our team is still quite small, and so we are in the unfortunate position of not being able to jump on every opportunity with equal aplomb. And while we are delighted with your interest, we may not – at this time – be able to address additional distribution opportunities equally.
However you can send us your details, should the day come when we’ve ticked all the boxes on our ‘to-do’ list, and are looking for the next country to conquer.
After all, everyone uses soap. (At least everyone we like to spend time with.)

How good do we feel knowing that people out there actually fancy working with us? Really, really quite pleased.
Not necessarily because we’ve got any jobs available, but because we’re thinking that you like our products enough that you now want to spend the majority of your waking hours in our presence. (No pressure.)
If you would like to lob a CV over, visit the About Us section of the website where you can submit your CV then we can take a look to see if your skill set is suitable for any current or future job openings at Soap & Glory. (Note: Marcia can’t forgive spelling and spacing mistakes on CVs, so before sending it, get out your fine tooth comb!)
Thank you for your interest to donate your body – or various relevant parts thereof – to the cause of Soap & Glory product testing science.
Unfortunately (we could barely believe this ourselves) for legal reasons (because God forbid you slipped a disc while testing a pre-launch body scrub or something) we are not allowed to test unlaunched products on members of the general public*.
We work really hard to ensure that any product we put the Soap & Glory seal of approval on is a superstar, so hope you’ll trust our judgement and keep trying Soap & Glory products, even if that means buying Soap & Glory products.
*We know you are not just any member of the general public. You are a card-carrying Soap & Glory member of the general public. Unfortunately, unless you’ve filled out about 150 forms and been screened for product safety testing suitability by a dermatologically adept doctor, legally, you’re still stuck in the ‘general’ camp.
Our ‘pink’ products are original formulas, usually with classic, fabulously feminine fragrances that layer from shower bubbles to body butters and beyond. Our spa range was raised with the ‘kitchen sink’ and brought up in a blender (using things like blueberries, brown sugar and lime juice.)
All are as fastidiously formulated as each other, so it shouldn’t matter whichever way you waver.
Designing and concepting Soap & Glory products may look a bit flighty, but in fact, blending up just the right balance of kitsch and clever (not too much cute, and absolute avoidance of ‘corny’) takes calculation. Each and every product is a collaboration between the very talented members of our NPD team, Marcia (our founder, who can be a bit of a control freak), and her old friends who are absolute geniuses with graphics.
Soap & Glory was originally inspired by bad British tabloid headlines.
Most new products stew for almost two years from tadpole to ‘ta-da’, and what happens along the way is somewhere between ‘anybody’s best guess’ and TRADE SECRET STUFF.
And that’s all we’re going to say about that.
We are very sorry, but are just unable to supply the entire of the Soap & Glory seeking public with free samples of our products.
While we recognize that this is disappointing, we hope you’ll agree that our price points (which we keep low by not doing things like sending samples out to every Tom, Dick and Mary) are already pretty palatable.
If you’re still not willing to take a full-price plunge, we do sell mini versions of our Clean On Me shower gel and Flake Away body scrub. All are $9.99 in store, or on www.sites.target.com.
We understand that animal testing is a key concern for a growing number of consumers and at Soap & Glory, we can confidently state that all of our formulations are safety and efficacy tested on people. (Although you might argue about that if you’d seen the condition of some of their feet. YEEEESH.)
At Soap & Glory, we uphold very strict guidelines through our regularly audited manufacturing partners that uphold the ‘no animal testing’ policy. As well, we are fortunate that our biggest retail partner – Boots The Chemists – upholds the very same standards by funding through an organization called FRAME, which is the FUND for the REPLACEMENT of ANIMALS in MEDICAL EXPERIMENTS in an effort to eliminate reliance in the industry on animal testing.
That said – and because we feel it necessary to be transparent and to educate EVERYBODY – it’s important for you to know that no retailer or manufacturer can categorically state that ‘none’ of their raw materials or ingredients have – at some time in the past – been tested on animals. The majority of individual raw materials used in cosmetics today have been through some kind of animal testing process. At Soap & Glory, we absolutely do not test our formulations on animals, however we can’t say that each and every ingredient that goes into them has not, at some point historically, been cleared for human use, by animal testing.
We hope this answers your question. If you need any more information about animal testing, we’d suggest you contact Colipa, the European Cosmetics Directive association, via www.colipa.eu.
You can’t buy products online from soapandglory.com yet, because it has taken us THREE YEARS to get our website up and presentable, and we certainly wouldn’t want to take a chance that a die hard, fastidious Soap & Glory loving fan waited an unreasonable amount of time (like THREE YEARS) after ordering a tub of body butter from us, while her legs got horribly scaly, because we’d overpromised and under – or heaven help us, not – delivered.
Our retail partners have websites that sell Soap & Glory, and they are really quite good at getting it to you in a timely fashion. We are currently good at all the other bits. (And we certainly wouldn’t want to get distracted when the proper focus might rid the world of wrinkles.)
Thanks for your interest. And go on. Order some S&G from somebody else!
At the moment, you can find Soap & Glory in the UK at Harvey Nichols (and on www.shop.harveynichols.com) and at most Boots stores throughout the country (as well as on www.boots.com).
If you are in the USA, you can find us in Target stores and on www.target.com.
And if you are in Canada, you can find us in certain Shoppers Drug Market stores (we are lobbying for more, but last year, in October, our dogsleds froze somewhere between Manitoba and Moose Jaw, and we didn’t make any particular progress!)
You also can spot us in some Boots stores across Thailand, the Gulf and Norway, and we’ve got another big country coming up that we will announce by email…
