While she’s an expert in the arena of aesthetics -that’s the high fallutin’ term for all things related to grooming and beauty- mixing things up with a little agony aunt advising (she says) adds a nice bit of spice. (Not that Miss Oap would ever, ever, ever be bored of talking blackheads. But are you feeling bitter?).
I recently started to care about if products that I use is tested on animals or not, and I just saw that on the Scrub Your Nose In It form Soap & Glory it says that it’s not tested on animals, so my question is: Are all Soap & Glory products not tested on animals?
Have just tried Sexy Mother Pucker and my lips are really tingling. Is this normal?
Absolutely 100% normal. (The tingling means circulation is being boosted, which means your lips will soon look fuller, plumper, and more luscious!)
When I was at a friend’s party we were giving make overs and someone put eyeliner on me and I really liked it but when I try it turns out a mess! Please tell me how to put it on properly.
Gently pull the outer corner of your eye to tighten your eyelid. With your other hand, draw the eyeliner from the outer corner of your eye along the lashline to the center, or a little further in towards your nose (depending on the look you're going for). Now switch sides, knowing that, like with nail polish, you're always going to do that first side just ever so slightly more accurately than the other. Note: Do eyeliner first, so if you totally mess up, you don't also have to reapply all your mascara.
I’ve been with this guy for a couple of months, and he hasn’t said “I Love You” yet. I wouldn’t mind, but we dated for a while a few years ago, and he said it then. Why not now??? I’m a big believer in the men asking girls out, and saying it first, but am I being too traditional? HELP!
Jools, just ignore him. Let a couple of days go by between phone calls. When he rings, be 'too busy to chat' and then forget to call him back. If he suggests you get together, HAVE OTHER PLANS. Men like to hunt. It makes them happy. It's biological. It might even make his heart spin. Now let's practice: RING RING, RING RING, RING RING, RING RING. Good girl. Now go fill your diary with girl-related plans. And write me back when you get the required result. RING RING, RING RING, RING RING....
I have been using Soap & Glory for about 2 years now (love it all!) but having recently become pregnant want to know if there are any products I should avoid using – I know that some essential oils are not recommended for instance.
Thanks so much, and keep up the great work!
Hi Amy. CONGRATULATIONS! Excellent news. On the essential oil front, in terms of our ladies' range, the only product that houses oils (probably not in a concentration high enough to bother you- unless you're dealing with morning sickness and the smell of lavender makes your tongue lather- but better safe than sorry) is our FAB PORE HOT CLOTH CLEANSER. All else is OK. Please keep in touch and post a picture of the little guy or girl when he or she arrives.
