Bank holidays mean two things: sleep and food. Which is why brunch falls at the perfect time and is the greatest meal of the day! You still get your well-deserved lie in, without missing out on the best type of food – breakfast food (insert heart eye emoji here). We’ve officially found the best brunch joints in the UK – how many can you tick of the list?
Rosemarino – Bristol
Best for – the veggie.
Rosemarino has won ‘best breakfast’ four times in the Bristol Good Food Awards and their veggie breakfast is the best of the best, guaranteed to sway even the most stubborn carnivore of the group!
The Koffee Pot – Manchester
Best for – the friend who never wants the party to end.
Haven’t you heard? Bloody Marys and Mimosas at brunch are so last year! The Koffee Pot are offering the Pickleback: whisky followed by a chaser of pickle juice… Errr not sure we’re convinced, but we’ll happily watch one of our friends have a go!
La Caprice – London
Best for – keeping it classy.
If you’re craving a bit of sophistication this bank holiday then look no further than the crisp, white table cloths of La Caprice. Put on your glad rags and pretend you live in SW10 while you dine on classic brunch staples.
Kitchen Garden Café – Birmingham
Best for – pretending we’re on holiday.
Yes we’re serious, Birmingham could soon be our holiday destination of choice. Kitchen Garden Café shares a terrace with a deli and a leafy, organic garden centre – this little bit of Birmingham could feel like Northern Italy on a sunny day. Time to get those legs out!
Beals Barn Gardens – East Sussex
Best for – fresh ingredients.
Take a seat in the picturesque country garden surrounded by the food you are about to eat! Have a stroll around Bewl Water down the road before you eat your well-deserved brunch. If we go for a walk before a meal, that definitely means we can eat more, right?!
Lynwood & Co – Gloucestershire
Best for – the budget conscious brunch.
Get an award-winning meal (really they’ve won awards) for less than £10. Perfect for if you’ve spent a little too much over the weekend and promised yourself you were trying to save.Back to Blog
